We have witnessed a huge refresh in both interior and exterior when iPhone 12 series was released last year. We are not going to see that much of a change in iPhone 13. But still there are some major upgrades – Like a brand new iPad mini! Here is everything Apple announced in yesterday’s Apple event. I am excited to share all the major takeaways from the event.
I am not planning to make this article a long one. Instead, Here I am pointing out what all things are new, what they have replaced and what all features stays!
iPad:
- Same size 10.2″ inch.
- Same design.
- A15 Bionic chip (iPad iOS 15 is New).
- 12 Megapixel ultra wide selfie with center stage same like iPad Pro.
- 64GB Base storage.
iPad mini
- Biggest redesign – both outside and inside.
- Kind of – a tiny iPad Air.
- Comes in 4 new colors.
- Single camera at back with camera bump.
- 12 Megapixel ultra wide Selfie with center stage same like iPad Pro.
- A15 Bionic chip (iPad iOS 15 is New).
- 5G supported.
- 8.3″ inch display.
- 60Hz refresh rate while iPad Pro has 120Hz.
Apple Watch series 7
- If you are a fan of iconic Apple square design, you have to wait.
- Same shape but a bigger screen update.
- 40% thinner than series 6.
- New Series 7 watches screen now curve and sort of flow over the edges right up to the metal body.
- Same sensors and same buttons like Series 6.
- Harder ceramic crack resistance glass on surface.
- 33% fast charging.
- Shared workout in Fitness +.
- Pretty minor update.
iPhone 13
- Design looks a lot like iPhone 12.
- Two main updates comes in the display and camera.
- All 13 series have brighter screen and HDR.
- New layout in back camera – Dual cameras diagonal from each other.
- 20% smaller notch (that means extra usable space on top).
- 5 colors.
- We don’t actually know how faster A15 is compared to A14. But as of now A14 gave me the best experience on a smart phone ever. So I cant wait to experience A15.
iPhone 13 Pro
- Added 120Hz display to Pro phones for the first time.
- 5 to 2.5 hours better battery life in 13 series compared to 12 Series.
- New Sierra Blue color.
- Base storage option have upgraded to 128GB. So no more 64GB version. The best part is, they all comes with almost same price as iPhone 12.
- A new 1-terabyte (TB) storage option.
- Every single camera in 13 series have upgraded.
- We all know portrait mode was introduced in iPhone 7. Now it is time for a new one – The Cinematic mode and ProRes Video.
- Better focus control system.
- Sensor shift stabilization .
It’s worth saying that all the iPhones, including the latest iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models, come with a 60Hz refresh rate. However, the iPhone 13 pro has a variable refresh rate ranging up to 120Hz. This is going to the biggest jump to pro version.
Camera:
- Zoom camera have upgraded to 3 times the optical zoom.
- Ultra wide: 92% improvement in low light.
- Wide: 2.2 times improvement in low light.
The gains in battery life, a new 1TB storage option and a new display with refresh rate up to 120Hz – What else do you need? Without a doubt iPhone 13 series will be fastest phones on the market. While improving battery life and bringing back the fun in their camera at the same time, I believe they have solved almost all iPhone drawbacks (if they have any).
